Emotions
Eowyn doesn't allow herself to get close to many. This isn't to say that she dislikes people, or that people dislike her; she's
just a private person, and doesn't allow herself to get close to just anyone. This could be due to loosing her parents; it must have
hurt her greatly, and she didn't allow herself to get close to anyone after that, for fear of loosing them too and feeling that pain
all over again. However, she is close with some; her brother, namely, and her uncle. She obviously loves her uncle dearly, as he took her
in when she was orphaned, and she and her brother must have been very close. I imagine they would have turned to one another at various times, like
when their parents died, or when Rohan began to fall. Also, she must have had a few friends within the forces of Rohan; it is by their kindness that
she is allowed to ride with the forces of Rohan to Gondor. Concerning other people, she did have a deep love for Aragorn; however, it eventually faded away
into friendship and respect. In the movie, she seemed to have some friendship with Gimli; it was only in one scene, really, but it was a cute scene, so it goes here.
Also, she must have had some sympathy or affection for Merry, because she lets him ride with her into Rohan. I think she could relate to him; they both wanted to fight
in battle, but neither were allowed.
While she may not have many close friends, Eowyn holds those close to her very dear, and would do anything for them.
