Temptation
Eowyn never came in contact with the ring, so obviously, she could never be tempted. However, if she DID come in contact with the
ring, what would tempt her? What would she desire to do with it?
In the beginning, she would see it as a sign of hope, like Boromir. A way to save her people, a way to save the world. However, it would eventually corrupt her -
like Faramir, I think she would want to prove herself. She would want to show everyone that she COULD be a warrior, that she wasn't "just
a girl" - that she was just as good as any man. That she didn't need anyone's pity. That she could stand on her own two feet just fine, and
she didn't need ANYONE to take care of her. It would act on the feelings of resentment she had at being treated as if she was made of glass and unable to fight, and
draw out the darkness inside of her. Naturally, the ring would be her downfall, of course. No mortal could tame the ring - it's a thing
of pure evil. What she would assume would give her everything she's ever wanted would kill her, in the end, as it did to Isildur.
