Although he is a secret character, you can play as Faramir in EA Games' The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
To unlock him, you must first defeat The Crack of Doom level with Frodo. This unlocks all three secret characters, Merry, Pippin, and Faramir; out of the three
Faramir is obviously the strongest, but not as quick as the other two. As far as his gameplay goes, he's quite very much similar to Aragorn; however, he is infact a
stronger bowman - one of the strongest in the game, in fact. Since he is a secret character, after you unlock him, you can fight with him in any level. However, if you wish
to fight as Faramir before beating the game, there is a way; if you use this cheat, you can play as him for one level. However, you can only use it once. Below is an upgrade chart
